Shred and import XML data into an Oracle database.
Exult Oracle is an easy-to-use Wizard Application which makes it trivial to import the data from one or more XML files into an Oracle database.
The following examples illustrate how Exult maps XML Elements and attributes to Database Tables and Columns.
Exult Database Edition for Oracle works with all recent versions of Oracle including the following:
Hardware | Pentinum III and later. | Operating System |
Windows 7 Windows Server 2008 Windows Vista Windows Server 2003 Windows XP Windows 2000 |
---|---|
Software |
Access to an Oracle Database Server. The Oracle database can be located on the local machine or on a remote server. |
Exult Oracle requires that Oracle Client Libraries are installed on the system. Oracle Client Libraries are available in two flavors: the standard Oracle Client Libraries and Oracle Instant Client.
Click here to download the regular Oracle Client Libraries 11g for Microsoft Windows (32-bit). You should select the Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Client for download and accept the Oracle TechNet License Agreement. After downloading and installing the package, please make sure that ORACLE_HOME environment variable is set to the location where it was installed.
In addition, please also make sure that the environment variable TNS_ADMIN is set to the location of TNSNAMES.ORA which is typically found under $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin. This will enable you to use the Oracle instance names defined in TNSNAMES.ORA to be used as a connection string.
Instead of the full Oracle Client package, you can also install the Oracle Instant Client which contains just enough components to be able to connect to an Oracle Database. To install the Oracle Instant Client package, click here, accept the OTN License Agreement, download the package and unpack it in a suitable location on your system. You should then update the environment variable PATH to add this directory to your path.
Optionally you can also set TNS_ADMIN to point to where the TNSNAMES.ORA is located. Doing this will enable you to use instance names defined in TNSNAMES.ORA to be used as a connection string.
